Kelly Brook looks cheery as she steps out with boyfriend Jeremy Parisi after being branded ‘smug’ and ‘narrow-minded’ in working mum row

She was criticised by Loose Women viewers earlier this week, for blasting working mums who take time off for their children.

But Kelly Brook proved to be unfazed by the backlash on Wednesday, as she stepped out with boyfriend Jeremy Parisi in London.

The model, 38, beamed widely and waved for cameras as she headed for a spot of lunch with her beau outside the ITV Studios.

Styled like an oversized shirt, with buttons down the front, the frock then tied at her waist with a thin ribbon belt – accentuating her hourglass figure as she stepped out.

Maintaining the casually chic feel from head to toe, she accessorised with simple black wedges and a matching cross-body bag, slung on a chunky gold chain.

Blasted: Kelly came under fire from Loose Women viewers on Monday following her comments that some working mothers use their children as an ‘excuse’ to skip deadlines or miss work

Kelly came under fire from Loose Women viewers on Monday following comments that some working mothers use their children as an ‘excuse’ to skip deadlines or miss work.

The model – who doesn’t have any children – shocked viewers with her controversial remarks during a discussion about whether it is a mother’s job to look after her sick children.

During the debate, Kelly said that ‘professional’ women never discuss their kids in the work place, and her comments sparking a massive backlash on social media.

Shocking: The 38-year-old model – who doesn’t have any children – shocked viewers with her controversial remarks during a discussion on Loose Women

She admitted: ‘I have a pet hate, and I don’t have children so I don’t always understand.

‘But I do work with some women that if they can’t make an appointment or can’t do something, or there is a deadline and some people will always say ‘oh it’s because I have to wash the baby’ or ‘feed the kids’ or ‘I’ve got to do the school run’.

‘Others have kids and you never even hear about the kids. They are very professional and I love that.’

Blame game: Kelly said ‘I just think women shouldn’t use kids as an excuse not to do their job properly. If you can’t meet the demands of your job, don’t blame your kids’

‘I just think women shouldn’t use kids as an excuse not to do their job properly. I think it’s nobody’s business. If you can’t meet the demands of your job, don’t blame your kids.’

Admitting that she sympathises with parents of children who get sick, Kelly added: ‘I have just been in situations with parents, where they have got to do the school run or something.

‘They know they have to do the school run, they know they have to put the kids to bed, so wouldn’t you figure your career out around those things?’

Whilst Kelly’s comments seemed to resonate with the studio audience, who gave her a round of applause for her speech, she angered viewers watching from home.

Taking to Twitter, irate Loose Women fans penned: ‘Kelly brook has absolutely no idea, how can she even comment without having kids. Just wait u til you do kelly. THEN you will realise how hard it is #LooseWomen’

‘Ah. The childless Kelly Brook giving advice to working parents #LooseWomen'; ‘Kelly Brook is talking out of her a**e! Some women may not have support at home so can’t always meet the ‘demands’ of their job! Stop being a judgemental d***head and saying women ‘use’ their kids as an excuse!! #LooseWomen

‘Kelly the expert on trying to be a parent and juggle a career. How many kids does she have again? #loosewomen'; ‘Kelly brook being a no child smug cow #LooseWomen’.

TV personality Luisa Zissman went on to brand Kelly ‘narrow-minded’ for her comments, and claimed she will ‘never have children’ because of her ‘track record with men’.

Fuming: Whilst Kelly’s comments seemed to resonate with the studio audience, who gave her a round of applause for her speech, she angered viewers watching from home

The former The Apprentice star – who is a mother of three daughters – told The Sun that Kelly will never understand motherhood until she has children of her own, adding that her views on working mums are ‘ill-informed’.

She said: ‘When Kelly has little people that are the centre of her world she will understand but until then – she really can’t comment on the subject at all. Kelly has no kids and probably never will with her track record with men.

‘Things come up, they get sick, they hurt themselves, and they have assemblies and sports days. Working mums have it so hard and such narrow minded and ill-informed views really have no place.’

Representatives for Kelly declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.

Luisa raises three daughters; Dixie, eight, with ex-husband Oliver Zissman, and Indigo, 22 months, and Clementine, seven months, with second husband Andrew Collins.

Meanwhile Kelly spoke about her desire to have children in another Loose Women appearance earlier this year.

She made the confession while bravely discussing the heartbreaking miscarriage she experienced while six months pregnant with former fiancé and Scottish rugby player Thom Evans in 2011.

The model-turned-actress candidly explained that she wished she was told how difficult it would be to conceive in your thirties and would have made different life ‘choices’.
