Steven Tyler has dismissed speculation that he suffered a heart attack in a statement to fans this week.
The 69-year-old expressed his regret at having to cancel his Aerosmith tour early and called rumors of a heart attack or seizure as ‘creative speculation’.
The rocker didn’t go into detail about the state of his health but did say he had a procedure done that could only be done by doctors in the US.

Tyler posted the statement on the band’s website on Monday.
The Walk This Way hitmaker said ‘It breaks my heart to have left this tour early…the band has never played better…just watch the 100,000 people at Rock In Rio.’
The rocker known as The Demon Of Screamin’ may have been heartbroken, but he quickly hosed down rumors of literal heart trouble:
‘I give you all an A+ for creative speculations but I certainly did not have a heart attack or a seizure.’
He then added some levity to the situation by adding: ‘((unless [band mate] Joe Perry is takin’ a rippin’ lead))’
The father of four children, including actress Liv Tyler, then took a more sombre tone, writing:
‘Creative Speculations': In his statement, the Walk This Way hitmaker said ‘It breaks my heart to have left this tour early…the band has never played better…’
Tyler didn’t go into detail at what his health issue is but admitted he’s had a procedure that could only be done by doctors in the US
‘Sorry to have cut the tour short but I had to have a procedure that only my doc in the States could perform.’
However no further details were offered as the the type of ‘procedure’ the former American Idol judge would be undergoing.
A week ago, the band called off the four remaining dates of the South American leg of its AeroVederci tour due to Tyler’s having ‘unexpected medical issues.’
The Dude (Looks Like A Lady) singer hasn’t always led the healthiest of lifestyles.
Making a candid confession about his drug use in 2013, Steven admitted that he ‘realistically, 5 or 6 [million dollars] on drugs, in the past.
‘But it doesn’t matter, he added. ‘You also could say I snorted half of Peru, but it doesn’t matter.’

The long-haired rocker had been sober for more than two decades until he became addicted to prescription drugs in 2009, although he later was successful with treatment.
He became addicted to drugs in the late 1970s and continued to take illegal substances until 1986 when he received treatment.
Following Steven’s medical emergency – which has not yet been detailed – the I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing rockers cancelled the following shows: September 27 – Curitiba, Brazil September 30 – Santiago, Chile October 03 – Rosario, Argentina October 07 – Monterrey, Mexico.
