Decision: A Madonna-obsessed fan has been awarded $455k over injuries he sustained during an arrest outside the singer’s apartment

He was given almost half a million dollars for pain and suffering, plus future damages for living with his injuries.

According to the site, Linhart’s attorney Lori Lefkowitz said her client ‘was very pleased, and felt vindicated’ by the verdict.

The retired firefighter claimed NYPD officers assaulted him during his original arrest.

He had offered to settle for $3million beforehand and had been ‘very confident’ of receiving that amount, but the defense decided to go to trial.

In 2013, Linhart narrowly avoided jail time following an alleged stalking campaign against the Material Girl singer.

He initially came to police attention when he was accused of scrawling messages of adoration on the pavement outside Madonna’s Central Park West apartment building and possessing a 7.5-inch ice pick.

This led to him being charged with graffiti and criminal possession of the ice pick recovered from his car although the latter charge was dismissed by a judge.

He was also charged with resisting arrest outside the building near Central Park.

He was eventually convicted of resisting arrest and sentenced to three years on probation and ordered to attend anger management classes.

His legal representatives argued that he wasn’t resisting the arrest but in agony from a broken rotator cuff suffered during his original arrest.

He said at the time the conviction had changed his feelings for the singer and told the NY Daily News: ‘I don’t feel the same about her.’

  1. Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the
net the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people consider worries that they plainly do not know
about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side effect ,
people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more.
    Thanks
